The state of honor this week is Hawaii. I love Hawaii, the ocean is so blue and clean. If you have never been there you should definitely visit Oahu, but Maui is by far my favorite island. The town of Lahaina is a great place to relax, shop, eat, partake in the nightlife and enjoy the ocean with a myriad of sports. Hawaii is known for its pineapple (think Dole) but also for its macadamia nuts (love!), coconut and coffee. This cupcake begins with a coconut cake filled with a coconut,pineapple and macadamia ganache and topped with a creamy coconut buttercream. This one is absolutely delicious!!!! ( I didn't include the Kona coffee in this one, maybe another cupcake later?) A cupcake a day brings sweet bliss your way.
