Idaho Huckleberry

Idaho is the state of honor this week.  Idaho was part of the Oregon country, held jointly by the United States and Great Britain until the Oregon Treaty in 1846 when it became part of the United States.  Idaho' nickname is the Gem State where you can find star garnets
(the only other place on earth is the Himalaya Mountains in India). Their state fruit is the huckleberry - a berry that looks similar to a blueberry and tastes similar to  a blueberry/blackberry combination. This vanilla cupcake is filled with a huckleberry jam and topped with huckleberry buttercream. A cupcake a day brings sweet bliss your way.
